Robert Kerss

Rob is a graduate in Law and Spanish from the University of Sheffield where he spent a year of his degree course studying Law at the University of Salamanca in Spain. He joined Saville & Co. after graduating in 2007 and as part of his training spent four months working for a commercial law firm in Buenos Aires and two months working with a firm of notaries in Paris.
 
Having completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Notarial Practice from the University of Cambridge and qualified as a General Notary in 2009, he qualified as a Scrivener Notary in 2010, specialising in the Spanish and French languages and Argentinean law. Rob was made a partner of the firm in July 2011 and deals with all aspects of notarial practice.

In addition to being a Notary, Rob is a qualified Company Secretary and a member of the Chartered Governance Institute. He is a former Vice Chairman of the Shipping Professional Network London and currently acts as an Independent Member of the Audit, Risk and Governance Committee for the British Triathlon Federation.

Rob is a director of the Management Committee for the Society of Scrivener Notaries, a Court Assistant for the Scriveners Company and a member of the Technology Committee for the Society of Scrivener Notaries where he contributed to the recent Law Commission’s report on the electronic execution of documents.
