Notary

We are looking for a qualified or nearly-qualified notary to join our friendly, busy team in the City of London, with a view to qualifying as a Scrivener Notary and progression to partner of the firm. The successful candidate will need to speak two other languages besides fluent English. Training and administrative support will be provided. The nature of the work demands notaries to be primarily office-based, but some working from home is permitted.

Trainee Notary

We are looking for a bright and motivated graduate in English Law/GDL to join us as a trainee notary.
Due to the international nature of our work, the candidate must also be: a skilled linguist, with fluent English and ability in two modern languages used in international commerce. Qualification as a general notary can be achieved in two years, but the length of training will depend on existing qualifications. Trainees are expected to go on to qualify as Scrivener notaries.

Duties include the preparation of legal documents in English and foreign languages and the management of transactions. Study leave is given for the necessary legal and language notarial examinations and training includes a period spent working in a notary’s office abroad. Financial assistance is given for academic courses. The successful candidate will need to be able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
